Congratulations to your Katy, i bet your so proud!!!!!!!Sorry to hear about hassle at work if its gets you down Bob think about a break and make some enquiries about the benifits you can get as a cancer sufferer, ive been quite surprised at the benfits out there, a Mcmillan nuse helped me.
Im still doing fine on my steroids but god knows whats happening inside me but i actually feel very well,
We had a nice surprise last week my sister is law bought Jon and I a new motorhome so we cant wait to go away in it.
Ive got Bournemouth with the kids in 2 weeks and then 4days to Jersey with my sister to relive our youger days when we went with mum and Dad, all this to create happy memories for those i leave behind, then after that its Just me and Jon and the open road if i last that long, fingers crossed.
Have a wonderful time this weekend Bob, love to your family Take care Fay x
You will last that long Fay, we both will, god willing. Your right to do all the memory creating but hopefully we both have time ahead as well for more good times. Both myself and Linda feel a bit "out of sorts" today and I feel deathly tired. Tomorrow we have our day out on the Orient express which we are really looking foreward to. In fact its perfect timing to give us a bit of a lift before the whole brain radiation starts in a couple of weeks. We will be leaving at about 07.30 in the morning as we need to be their before eleven. Hopefully the weather will be kind but thats not essential. Heres hoping for a good nights sleep tonight. I am feeling okish on the Sutent but side effects seem to be kicking in a lot sooner. Im halfway through my second week of this cycle and I would normally be feeling a lot better and more alert.
Dear Bob - I hope that you and Linda have a lovely day tomorrow...........enjoy the trip and the scenery.......... Dot xxx
I hope you and Linda feel ok for your orient express experiance and you have a BRILLIANT day, Love Fay. x
Well, what a great day we have had. The orient Express lived up to all our expectations and more.
We were up early and Left Kate in the capable hands of her big brother Matt whilst Justin drove myself and Linda to London. We left soon after seven and had a good journey down. We arrived at the car park in good time and spent a bit of time with Justin before he went off to explore areas he wanted to see. We made our way to platform one and showed our tickets and were told the Pulman would be arriving at any time. At that point a couple in period dress arrived and started making conversation and it was soon obvious that they were part of the package and the entertainment. At that point the train drew in and we all made our way onto the platform and boarded the train. We were shown to our seats which was in a perfect position in a smaller carriage. No sooner had our bums touched the seats the shampaigne started flowing and our Orient experience had begun. We bothrelaxed into our comfy armchairs and at that point emotions took over and we were both a bit tearfull. The train pulled out the station and we relaxed and took in the scenery. Lunch then began, salmon for starters, followed by soup, then rack of ribs, then cheese and biscuits. At this point we had arrived at whittstable in Kent and we were greeted on the platform by a jazz band and more champaigne and oysters. we both bravely tried the oysters and mine slipped down real easy but very nearly slipped up again just as easily, not one ill rush to try again. Then we reboarded and were treated to a chocolate toffee pudding. Coffee finished of the proceedings nicely. A truely amazing day. Thank you to my sister Julie who made this day possible and also to Justin, who without a second thought, offered to have a day off work and transport us both to London. Linda is now nursing a bit of a dizzy head and im sure, she will be rather fragile tomorrow.
oooops, sorry about the spelling, should have been champaigne witha c and it was a rack of lamb we had. I would have edited my post but stupid site will not let me change it.
Hi Bob,
What a fantastic time and experience for you both, I am so glad it was an excellent day.
