Well here i am again at 4.30 in the morning and i can't sleep yet again!! My husband Darryl has terminal small cell cancer and, at the moment is going through a really good phase. Which, i would have thought, would set my mind at rest and enable me to sleep. But no, here i am again having had 2 hrs sleep tonight wide awake with mad thoughts running around my head!! This is driving me crazy and i just seem to be on auto pilot all the time. Darryl is 44 years old and we have been given a prognosis of a 2-3 year life span for him. I can't seem to let go of this thought, and maybe part of me can't sleep because of that, as i feel if i'm asleep i'm wasteing precious time!! Darryl is sound asleep and resting well, and if i stay upstairs next to him listening to his breathing, i keep thinking is this the last time i'll ever hear that and end up getting so uptight and worried that i find it better to just get up again. So i wander round the house do a few chores, have a hot caffiene free drink and will myself to sleep all to no avail i might add!! hahaha surely i'm not the only carer who never sleeps, or am i????? any comments gratefully recieved. Mel isnt it always the way when you start to decorate, the rest of the house looks in need of attention ! still it should keep you busy and out of trouble for a while ha ha Does poor Daley know you are posting him around the country ? hope hes at least going "special delivery" Thankyou for your advice it means a lot i shall put things into perspective and stay strong and positive xxxxxxxxx
Teresa thankyou too, mum used to love M&S foodhall and spend a fortune each week, i have tried blending meals but to no avail, she can only take neutral flavoured ensures now as flavours repeat on her hopefully that will only be for a while It must catch your breath when you hear one of your dads tunes, I hope your pain gets a little easier and thankyou for being so kind when you must be hurting so bad xxxxxxxxxx
I am off to bed now as i am getting a little cross eyed and my dogs want walking on the beach at 8.30am prompt, they dont care what time i went to bed, I get big wet licks at the same time each morning to wake me !!

hi kate, how are you and your mum today? I hope she is feeling a little more confortable and that she's resting well? what dogs do you have? I have a beagle who was a year old on monday so got spoilt rotten with pressies!! hahaha His name is Essien (we're all chelsea fans here) but i call him essie doodles!! he's a little rat bag and at the mo has paint on his ears and nose bless him, he looks quite funny! hahaha God knows where he gets all of his energy from! Iv'e told daley i have been posting him around the country and he said he's up for that! hahaha Darryl has been tired today which is understandable bless him! He's done so well since his last chemo last thursday and iv'e had to resort to nailing him to the sofa now as he keeps rushing about otherwise! haha these men think the're indestructable and can do anything so iv'e had to nail him down to keep him still! Joe should be finished the decorating tom and the hall stairs and landing are looking so much brighter now. Surprising what a coat of paint and new wallpaper can do isn't it? Hi Karen, How is my little chicken today? I will post Daley to you next, but it seems he hasn't arrived at Teresa's yet so not sure what happened there? I bet he met a lovely girl on the way and got chatting as he's single!! hahaha Can't trust these boys to do anything get so easily distracted by a pretty face hahaah Darryl has been tired today think thats because he keeps doing too much so have had to nail him to the sofa today to keep him from rushing about! haha these men think they are indestructable don't they? I made him a nice roast beef dinner today to help build him up as from today it's his low immunity week, and i have to do his injections again from saturday, so fingers crossed they work like last time and prevent him from going back into hospital. I hope you manage to get some sleep tonight and i don't think you're lazy going back to bed when the boys had gone to school. You need to rest when you can, so no you're not lazy at all! haha Well just checking my chicken is well and hope to hear from you very soon love and big hugs mother hen mel xxx

I think Daley must have got distracted by a pretty girl on the way as he's single!! i can't even reach him on his mobile phone hahaha You know what these young men are like they see a pretty girl and forget everything else! haha i will tell him off when i see him as got a list of people on here waiting for him to do their gardens! Well thanks to you three I got up today with a total different head on, bit like wurzel gummidge ha ha, Karen thank you so much I got that strength you sent me, well actually i was a dopey thing , I dont know how you night owls do it ? I put Mouthwash down the loo and rinsed my mouth with Dettol ha ha and it stung and everything all day tasted of Dettol !! Teresa thankyou again you are such a sweetie you are all so careing and you will never know just how much you scraped me off the floor last night, honestly i think im in danger of becoming a psyichophrenic ( spelt wrong) I am on a rollercoaster of emotions one minute high next low talk about mood swings ! Hi mel, hope you are ok im glad you nailed Daryll to the sofa and hope he is feeling ok, phaps you should have nailed Daley next to him!! How is uncle joe coming along with the decorating? Im not as hot-headed today as yesterday think that might be because i didnt get up till half 2 this afternoon (lazy cow) ive never stayed in bed that late before but i need an early morning so i can get an early night as having Mia tomorrow (today) as Angie is having her pre-med, still no sign of baby! and Michaela is at the dr's again for her blood tests, testing for thyroid and full blood count but she is a lot better, its amazing how quickly they can recover when they going away next week and think that mum will say 'you're not going!!! but she more or less back to her old self!!! anyway sending you all lots of love, hugs and fp's love teresa xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (ps when Daley re-appears and you post him out can you send him with one of your roast beef dinners please?) xx
