Hi, all !

my son has just been diagnosed with a very rare form of liver cancer fhcc - currently they are saying it’s inoperable but he’s on his 16 th round of floflox chemo -

I know it’s a rare type - but any other mums out there that can offer any support in cancer in teenage boys - we are so tired any information that any body has about this horrid illness would be much appreciated-

we have no idea what to expect - with 3 other children dynamics etc are becoming a problem -

thank you

  • Hi and welcome to the online community

I'm really sorry to read that your son has recently been diagnosed with liver cancer and I know what a difficult time this will be for the whole family.

I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you join and post in the parents of children with cancer group and the carers only group. Both are safe and supportive places where you can connect with others who have a loved one living with cancer. I can see that you've already joined the liver cancer group which I hope you'll find is a great place to ask questions and share experiences with others who have FHCC.

It would be great if you could pop something about your son's diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
