Hi everyone,

recently just joined. My partner was diagnosed with non hodgskin lymphoma in May 2025.
He is now on remission which is great, and currently under going radiotherapy. However the last month he has struggled extremely with his mental health, he opened up that he found it really hard and would like to speak to someone about his experience, does anybody know who I can reach out to to get this support for himself ?

  • Hi   and a warm welcome to the Community……. I don’t normally post in this group but noticed your post.

I am Mike and I help out around our various Lymphoma groups.

I have been on my Lymphoma journey for over 25 years first diagnosed way back in 1999 at 44…… when my first rare (8 in a million) ‘incurable’ but treatable type of slow growing Low-Grade Cutaneous T-Cell NHL was presenting.

I eventually reached Stage 4a in late 2013 when a second, also rare (4 in a million) type of very aggressive High-Grade Peripheral T-Cell NHL was then presenting so although my Lymphoma ‘type’ is different I most definitely appreciate the challenges of this journey rather well.

We do have a few Lymphoma dedicated groups….

    General Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma

    Follicular Lymphoma

    Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma

    Mantel Cell Lymphoma

    T-cell lymphomas

You may also want to check out the UKs main Lymphoma charity  Lymphoma Action.

The Lymphoma Action website has lots of good reliable information, videos..... basically all things Lymphoma....... pre, during and post treatment.

They run various Support Platforms… both for patients and family. highly recommend these groups as this will widen your support base and there is nothing better than ‘talking’ with others who have walked or are walking the same journey……

They also run the very good Lymphoma Focused Live your Life Course that is a peer-led post treatment self-management course.

They also have a great Buddy Service where you and/or your partner can be linked up with someone who has walked the same support/treatment journey.

The LA helpline is open every week day from 10 till 3 on 0808 808 5555. This is a safe place to talk things through and get support.

Do also check to see if you have any Local Macmillan Support in your area.

Also check for a local Maggie's Centre as these folks are amazing and run both men only groups as well as blood cancer support groups.
