My Mum got diagnosed in 2022 with a stage 4 glioblastoma. She had surgery in 2022 and was doing really well up until June 2024 when they found another tumour had grown. She had surgery in the August but suffered memory loss, speech impairment and balance issues. She has went into a hospice for a few days for some respite but a few hours ago a doctor from the hospice said that this time it looked more serious and there may not be anything they can do as she’s already had two surgeries, on chemo, on steroids and had radiotherapy. I’m trying to stay positive but finding this very difficult. We find out on tuesday from the oncologist what is the next steps but tuesday seems like a lifetime away. Any tips on how to cope with the unknown until i find out anything concrete on this? I’m only 21 and my mum is only 45 and can’t imagine losing her at this age.
