Hi, new to this group
Just a little bit about my situation, my mum was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and the beginning of August but was feeling poorly for a few months before and put it down to having copd flare up. After many tests, scans biopsies they told us it wasn't curable, she's been hospitalised with pneumonia 4 times since August, she recieved radiotherapy but only shrank the tumour a tiny amount. She was due to start immunotherapy today but the doctor told us anymore treatment would do her more harm than good so theyve called it a day on the treatment front.
we got the sad news days ago as her health declines that it has spread to her liver and spine , pending a brain scan to see if it is in the brain too, a couple of weeks to a couple months maximum is her prognosis, praying and hoping she's pain free right now. Sorry for the long waffle but right now I'm struggling with all of this to say the least
Hi Missmanc welcome to the forum. I am so very sorry to hear what is happening for you . I'm.not surprised that you are struggling to process any of this, we all would struggle..Things seem to have escalated very quickly as well so you have had no time to get acclimatised to one thing before another comes along to knock the feet from you again.. I wish I could say something that would make any of this any better but there isn't anything to say. I hope that you know we are here for you and will support you as much as we can. X
