Hi all. My sister is having chemo. She had fw appointments at hospital for bloods and PICC lie clean. Her appointments have been cancelled by hospital with no reason given. She also had recent scan and is now thinking the worse scenario. Why would hospital cancel appointments without telling her? Thanks, a worried sister.
Hi Eva58 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
It's natural for your sister to jump to the worst case scenario after receiving a letter from the hospital cancelling her blood test and PICC lie clean, especially as the letter does not specify why the appointments have been cancelled.
The best thing for your sister to do, would be to phone the number on the cancellation letter so that she can ask why the appointments have been cancelled. It could be for any number of reasons, eg shortage of staff, etc but to put her mind at rest a quick call on Monday will sort it out.
((hugs))
