I have a friend who was diagnosed with liver cancer in February, after fighting for a diagnosis for almost a year.
she has just recently found out her chemo has not worked.
she’s been so poorly and unfortunately lives a 4 hour drive away. I feel so heartbroken that I can’t physically be there for her and wish I could take her pain away .
Hi @kaz76
Sorry to hear about your friend and the impact this is having, on here we often talk of a cancer diagnosis being like a tsunami.
If we look at your feelings when someone has cancer I note a number of things I felt in this strange new world we live in.
Does your friend need/have any support? She might like to check our getting a needs assessment to help make sure she gets everything to keep her as comfortable as possible.
<<hugs>>
Steve
Hi
Thankyou for your message . Fortunately my friend has support from her mum.
I have just been to visit her and now realise how poorly she is.
it is so very hard not being close enough to visit her every week, it really is heartbreaking to know she is going through this at such a young age.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
