My step dad recently diagnosed with lung cancer. Just looking for help and support, feeling emotional
Hello Solbar I have just come across your post and noticed it's not had any replies. By me responding it will "bump" the post back to the top of the forum and I hope that this will bring it to the notice of other forum members and you receive some help and support.
I have noticed you are a member of the lung cancer forum, have you thought of posting there and checking what support other forum members have received?
I don't know if you are aware of "Maggie's". This is a support charity for people and their families who have cancer and they have plenty of centres around the country. You can drop in for advice, help or simply a chat and a cup of tea. to find your nearest "Maggie's" 0300 123 1801 or enquiries@maggiescentres.org or www,maggiescentres.org
There is also our support line on 0808 808 00 00 (8am to 8pm 7 days a week) Give them a ring. The lovely people there can offer plenty of help and support for you.
I hope you can get the help you need for your step-dad. It is a very stressful time. If I can do anything else for you please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best wishes - Brian.
