Struggling

Hello, I'm new here but I thought I should attempt to get some support or advice from fellow people in this awful situation. In 2019 my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in which she had radiotherapy and recovered. A year later she was diagnosed with another more aggressive type of breast cancer in the other breast. The whole year every appointment I attended got worse and worse to the point where we were told she had stage 4 (incurable) cancer. She's being doing really well but I am constantly thinking about the life expectancy rate that she's been given which is years (a long time compared to some) but it still scares me that I am young and don't know what I would do without her. It also doesn't help that my dad has also been diagnosed with cancer recently. He's currently in the tests phase which seem to be good currently but he will require either surgery or radiotherapy.

I guess I am feeling a little lost/scared and don't really know who to talk to about those emotions. Any advice/support groups would be greatly welcomed.

Thanks

  • Hi

Sorry to hear about both your parents and the worry that is causing you - totally normal of course. We have a tool here in your area that we can use to find group near us (or possibly the hospital too).

Remember too you can always ring our helpline or post on here.

    <<hugs>>
