My 23yr old daughter had appendix cancer that had attached to her bladder, they operated and removed appendix and she had a round of chemo in tablet form x 2. She was given the all clear now she has it in her head and stomach. She has just had more chemo and radiation via tablet. She has to have a camera down throat for the stomach one. I’m struggling mentally and physically I work but I also have to help her as she has 18th month old twin girls and is unable to care for them herself. She is so week from this treatment, I’m exhausted beyond belief and had to have time off work for her. I’m worried I’ll loose my job if I keep having to have time off
Hi BrummieAnn
Sorry to hear about your daughter, I can barely imagine being in the situation you find yourself in as for us it is my wife with the cancer.
From what you have said I think it might be helpful to talk to someone from our work support service.as we can see it is for anyone affected by cancer and it is safe to say you are affected. They may also be able to signpost to support for you both because I know how I suffered trying to do every thing for everybody - except me.
Hope that is helpful
<<hugs>>
Steve
I’m thinking if you my daughter diagnosed with breast cancer when pregnant and after early deliver of baby was found she has secondaries in her bones which is deemed incurable, I feel much like you having to take time off work to help her and her baby.
sending love to you and your daughter ️
