Hi All my 79 year old mother just been diagnosed with stage 3-4 Adenocarcinoma of her right lung, it’s contained in the lungs but her chest lymph nodes are inflamed. Wondered if anyone has had a similar diagnosis? We are awaiting an appointment with the oncologist once her bio marker results are back. Love to hear from people who’ve been in a similar position, thanks in advance.
Hi Shaztan
I'm sorry to read that your mother has just been diagnosed with lung cancer and I know what a hard time this will be for the whole family.
As you've said you'd like to hear from people who have a similar diagnosis, can I recommend that you join the lung cancer group as you'll then connect directly with people who have the same type of cancer as your mother to ask questions and share experiences.
To join just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here, and join in with existing conversations by clicking on reply.
It would be great if you could pop something about your mother's diagnosis so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
