My partner had pneumonia and they found “something else” in his lung CT scan.
He has since had blood tests, lung function tests, PET scan and biopsy.
How do you prepare for the results meeting? I’m terrified.
Hi MarieJ
One of the wonders of being scanned is it will find lots of "something else" - indeed my wife at one point they focused on sarcoid - then finally they found her cancer.
The "good news" here is that if it were to be cancer then almost it has been found by accident and so if treatment is needed it can start very early. The "result" of course can be more tests or there is nothing to worry about or something else.
One thing that is sure of course is no amount of worrying you do is going to make any difference to the results.
One tip - take a pen and paper to the meeting so anything you do not understand write it down and then come here because one of our friends will have been there and know what came next for them.
<<hugs>>
Steve
