Hi Cakeysu
Sorry to hear about your dad and the issues he is going through. My father had bad arthritis and as I get older I have realised I have inherited some of that. Often I am ok but if I know I will be on my feet quite a bit I take some fairly strong pain killers. At worst my leg might decide it simply does not want to move.
Has your dad had a needs assessment? It sounds like he might need extra support.
As for what is a sign of something - even the oncologist treating him could not say for sure.
<<hugs>>
Steve
