Hi everyone
I have joined the community as my dad has just been diagnosed with bile duct cancer and I am struggling to come to terms with it. I was wondering if anyone who is supporting a family member with cancer had any tips on helping them cope? And if anyone has had any experience with this type of cancer. I currently would just like to curl up in bed.
Hi Talk98
My wife has Leiomyosarcoma but other that that get just what you mean. That and crying in the shower and the rest - it can seem like life sucks.
IF we look at Supporting a family member with cancer we can see how remarkably normal we are but also the impact the cancer has on us. I know one thing I had to learn was how to look after me, my GP at one point suggested eco-therapy and when I asked "what?" he explained how going for a walk, especially among nature, can be helpful and it does help some.
For more experiences of bile duct cancer it might help to look at Bile duct cancer forum, if you wanted to post on there and introduce yourself I am sure people would be willing to talk about their experience too.
<<hugs>>
Steve
