Hi it's been a really tough few months my mum got rushed to hospital to be diagnosed with bowel cancer we nearly lost her she just about to start chemotherapy and then a month after my dad has a mass in his right side of chest which sadly is cancer feeling broken my world have been turned upside down in a matter of a few months
Hi Moemoe and welcome to our community though sorry to hear about both your parents.
It does of course happen than once one cancer is found people can become more aware of other issues and the impact of a cancer diagnosis is substantial on everyone, we frequently refer to a diagnosis like a tsunami.
If we look at Your feelings when someone has cancer we can see a whole range of emotions that we might go through. What helped me most was a course on living with less stress, a big part was the idea of focussing most on the here and now and finding the joy in the good days. Next skill was conscious breathing exercises that were good when life decided we needed another knock down - usually totally out of the blue. Transcendental mediation did not really work for me though.
<<hugs>>
Steve
