Hello, my mother is battling late stage AML and her dear friend from her AML support group sadly passed overnight. We have not shared this heartbreaking news yet and I would welcome advice on how best to communicate this and support my mother she processes this. sincerest thanks
Hi Kakes
Sorry to hear about your mother and her friend. I can see how difficult this must be. Perhaps if we consider it from your mum's position though how would it be if she found out other than from you. Perhaps finding a quite time and being quite factual can help and definitely take a lead from your mum.
<<hugs>>
Steve
Thank you for the thoughtful advice, Steve. We had this difficult conversation last night and remembered and celebrated her friend. It is heartbreaking for a loved one who is suffering so much already to suffer the loss of a dear friend. We will keep loving her and supporting her through this and everything else. Thank you again for your kind response.
