Hello all,
I’m new too this so a bit unsure how it all works. My boyfriend has recently been diagnosed with bladder cancer, we found out roughly 2-3 weeks ago and are still trying to process it. He’s only just turned 30 so he’s really young to get bladder cancer. I’m trying my best to stay positive and strong for him but when I’m alone I’m emotional, down and feel anxiety & panic constantly. Has anyone got any advice for me as I feel like I’m crumbling.
Hello Tigerlily22 and welcome to the community, although sorry to hear about your boyfriend's diagnosis. You are right, it is young for bladder cancer, but we are seeing more young people being diagnosed with this. We know how much any cancer can have an effect on loved ones. I am sure you will get support here as you go forward. Be aware that bladder cancer can be treated successfully and there are many of us in the bladder group who have been through this. Treatment is a step by step procedure with lots of waiting, so your boyfriend will need your support going forward. Always someone here if you need to talk. If you want to know about any treatment, you can join us in the bladder group by clicking on the above link. Best wishes.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
