Hi
Sorry to hear about your ex husband, it does sometimes seem cancer somehow meddles with our heads as to how we feel and I can certainly understand why your first thought might be karma but then perhaps you were reminded of father to your children and the rest.
My son is 17 and has high functioning autism - an interesting journey but I love my teacher.
If we look at Supporting a family member with cancer we can see the emotional effects these things can have on us - that being strong thing - wish it was that easy.
Your children would be welcome here, or ring the helpline - or other sources of support, It is after all their dad and talking really does help. The more informed we all feel it helps to feel some sense of control in a world that sometimes feel newly remote.
<<hugs>>
Steve
