Does anyone else ever get so overwhelmed at times with what they are dealing with that they feel they may pass out? I had dosed off and was about to get up to do my shift with dad and mum woke me, this was at 3am. She was worried his breathing was very laboured. I sat by his bed and became very dizzy and had to lie on the floor for about 30 minutes. Poor mum had to get me chocolate. I eventually got up, got a cup of tea and felt "ok". But I have to say even today I am very dizzy, my head just feels a little strange.
I assume this is down to tiredness and being overwhelmed?
Hi @ca78,
I know when I was quite a lot younger and worked sometimes totally crazy hours I could get in a right state. Our bodies are really adapted for a solid session of sleep and disruption can do so very odd things.
If it become an issue for you it might be worth talking to your GP to make sure you get the support you need before your mum needs to look after you are well as your dad - then you could all end up in hospital.
<<hugs>>
