My mum was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in the summer and had surgery to remove it a few weeks later. She started chemotherapy afterwards and in the beginning of January had radiotherapy. Things are looking up I guess but Im worried that its going to come back and that's its just a matter of when. Ultimately its just horrible knowing that your going to lose your mum eventually to cancer whether its in a year or 10 years and I don't know what to do.
Hi Artemisandpan welcome to the forum and I am sorry to here how worried that you are. I wish I could offer you some form of guarantee that this will never re-occur but unfortunately neither I nor anyone else can do that because none of us know. We all live with this uncertainty but if you enable that thought to be the focus for the future the Cancer wins and thats not what any of us want as we have to resume living life to the full.
Sadly all of us lose our mums at some point in our lives and none is us ever want this to happen but happen it does as part of the normal life process.
Your mum has come through such a lot and maybe now is the time to try the very best to put this episode behind you as a family and enjoy just being there for each other and enjoying whatever life brings your way.xxx
