Mum - St.4 gallbladder cancer.

Hi and a warm welcome to Family and Friends. I'm sorry to hear about your mum, I lost my mum when she was young so I know the heartache well. A prognosis isn't always accurate but I'm not trained and wouldn't know how to answer your question on length of life other than to say that, as she is well, make the most of what time you have, and if it's longer than you thought that has to be good. Making new memories is what we call it here. I made sure to tell my dad regularly that I loved him and will be eternally grateful for the last long hug we shared. Had I not known that his time was short, I might not have had that memory. It's wonderful that she 'appears so well' at the moment but it takes a while to get your head round such a diagnosis and being told you don't have long is such a shock and anger is a perfectly normal reaction. I'm sure you will have others replying soon, meantime, I'm thinking of you.
