We have just found out that my mums pancreatic cancer can be operated on as it is too near to other vessels. She lives quite far away and as we can't travel due to the restrictions it is even harder. We are all devastated and really struggling with the news. The thought of her not being around anymore is too much. Is their anyone that has or is in the same position as we are? Any advice is greatly appreciated.x
Hi , I'm sorry to hear about your mum. I know how much it hurts to lose the one you have depended on for so long. Can you contact her with Skype or Hangouts? It does make such a difference to see the person as well as talking. Now it's my husband (was my mum before) who has cancer and our sons like to talk to him with video as well, I think it helps them to hold onto a sort of emotional security. Do what you can to make new memories; perhaps send flowers (if you still can?!) or make something for your mum. Those things mean so much to the one who is unwell. My sons often have humorous text conversations with their dad and it means the world to him.
Thinking of you,
LoobyLou
