Hi , I saw your post and just popped over from Carers. That's a tough one. We've all been advised not to visit those who are vulnerable and that would seem to include your dad. Was he one of those who got a text or letter? Perhaps you could phone his specialist nurse and ask advice.
Hugs,
LoobyLou

The actual guidance for extremely vulnerable people acknowledges that those with a short prognosis may choose to put themselves at risk. As long as you fully understand the potential risks, it's really up to you and your dad.
>>Shielding is for your personal protection. It is your choice to decide whether to follow the measures we advise. Individuals who have been given a prognosis of less than 6 months to live, and some others in special circumstances, could decide not to undertake shielding. This will be a deeply personal decision. We advise calling your GP or specialist to discuss this.<<
