Hi, yesterday I discovered my mum has breast cancer. We were told at her appointment it has spread to her lymph nodes and up to her neck. So she cannot have surgery, but will need chemo.
She also will have a PET scan to see if it has spread anywhere else.
I am devastated as at this time because she is 73 years old she is supposed to be in isolation because of the corona virus . My dad has a weak chest, so I want to keep them both safe. So it's really awful as I am a nurse and so have to go to work. Putting me at risk, when all I want to do is be with mum and help her and spend time with her.
It's one thing dealing with her diagnosis, but to add to that the worry of the virus. It's all so devastating.
I'm feeling so upset and worried. I just needed to talk to people who understand. Thank you for listening .
Hi , I'm sorry to hear your news and it's easy to understand how devastated you are, especially when you're so tied up with work. All I can say is I'm thinking of you.
Love and hugs,
LoobyLou

Im wattsapp videoing my mum everyday. So I feel like I am seeing her. It's the next best thing.
