My mum was diagnosed with melanoma cancer in December why on holiday in Florida.Shes had a Tumour removed from her brain before coming back to the UK.She also had it on lungs an kidneys. They told her what treatment she needed when she gets home.
My mums been home about 6weeks now and she still hasn’t started treatment yet.Shes had other tests and has been told her lymph notes are swollen in her neck and side. This is new since she got home.
I don’t know how best to help her

  • Hi , I saw your post from yesterday and just popped over from Carers. There could be a variety of reasons for treatment not having started yet. Has your mum been assigned a specialist nurse yet? If so you could phone for a chat and ask for information; if not could you call your mum's GP surgery and ask for an update? It would be good for them to know that you are concerned. If you know which hospital she'll be attending, try contacting PALS for advice; they're very helpful and could perhaps chase up for you.

    Thinking of you,

Thank you for your message, I don’t think my mum has been assigned a nurse yet and her Dr doesn’t really know much as it all happened in America.

I will try and contact PALS
