Hi all,

just reaching out for some support if I can!

the weight of my mums stage 4 diagnosis seems heavier than ever today.

I’d really appreciate some positivity as I’m really struggling to find it today.

Hi M, some days or even hours are more difficult than others, when people say it's a rollercoaster that is indeed how it feels. For me I take pleasure when it's going OK, because when it is not I need the energy to get through that.

I'm so sorry about your mum and its natural to feel the way you do. Just to know that others are in similar situations and just reaching out when you feel low will hopefully help, even just a little.

Thinking of you, take care of yourself

  • Hi M, n welcome to the community, tho I expect it's the last place u want be.

U might want to join the relevant  cancer type group for your mum, so u can get support from folk in a similar situation to her. U can also ring the helpline to find out about support for yourself in your area on 0808 808 0000 8am to 8pm 7 days a week.

    Take care x

Thank you so much for your lovely response.

This has been going on for 3 years now so I completely agree with it being a rollercoaster! Sounds silly but this morning I was in a completely different mindset than I am just now. It’s such a whirlwind of emotions it’s definitely difficult to deal with long term.

Speaking to people who understand helps so much!
