My best friend had a cancerous brain tumour which was removed. She has been having chemotherapy and radiotherapy since. Today she had the results of her latest tests and scans. Unfortunately another tumour has developed deep in the brain and it’s inoperable. The chemotherapy has also been stopped as it isn’t working. I honestly don’t know what to do or how to give her the best support. I’m utterly heart broken.
Hi , sorry to hear about your friend - perhaps the best advice we can give is to treat her as normally as possible and simply be there for her. One of the issues we sometimes get is how to deal with our own emotions and perhaps looking at our emotional effects of caring might give some clues.
Bless you for caring
