Googled stuff to help sickness with chemo and Gin gins keep coming up but I am surprised by the price.

Any alternatives please but more than that, has to be stoma friendly?

If these are the best then that’s what he gets but... with his stoma, there are so many things he struggles to chew for 10 minutes before swallowing and he hasn’t even started chemo ( he = my little brother)

this week he does. Got anti sickness wristband things, he has caps to hide his hair, what is an essential, what does everyone end up needing?

please help xx

  • Hi

Although I haven't had chemotherapy I was passing and noticed that your post had gone unanswered. You might like to take a look at this information from Macmillan about feeling sick when having chemotherapy as it explains about the anti-sickness drugs your brother will be given before he starts his treatment if his chemotherapy is known to cause sickness.

Looking at your profile I can see that your brother has bowel, liver and stomach cancer and it might be a good idea to join one or all of these groups so that you can ask people how they prepared for chemotherapy. This information from Macmillan which explains about chemotherapy might also help you.

I'm presuming, from the order you've listed them, that your brother's primary cancer is bowel and he has secondaries in his liver and stomach.

If you want to join these groups click on the links to the bowel cancer, secondary liver cancer and stomach cancer groups that I've created and then choose 'join this group' on the pages that open. You may also find joining the ileostomy, colostomy and stoma group useful.

I hope your brother's treatment goes well.
