Surgery pain after chemo

Feeling very down after a difficult day managing fatigue, just woke up feeling very sore in my mastectomy/node clearance wound. It feels hot and is throbbing. My temperature is ok so I'm not panicking about infection yet, but I'm worried because this happened to a friend and she got sepsis. Fortunately she survived. Does anyone else experience this?

  • His Babs hot and throbbing suggests to me it could be infection but the point where you don't yet have a raised temperature. Please get it checked.

    Thanks Mandesp,

    I took your advice and saw my breast nurse. She put my mind at rest that there was no infection. The chemo had made the wound more sensitive. She said I'd done the right thing to go to her.
