My wife was told she had stage 4 BC in Jan 24. She had different chemo but this weekend she had a seizure and it might be in the brain now. I'm lost. Don't know how to react. Is this the start of the end? We wont find out of it is in the brain till early next week after MRI  on Thursday.

How do I cope? We have 2 young kids so it looks like it's only gonna be me bringing them up.i don't know where to turn or what to do.

  • Hi

My wife's first chemo caused her to develop a collapsed lung, she ended up having six of those. Our son was quite young at the time and I finally reached out for help in my case going to our local Maggies centre.Spent about an hour mostly crying out my story and then helped me form a plan for the next few days.

Sometime later I did a living with less stress course that really helped me. Part of that was learing to appreciate what we have day to day or even hour to hour. In the end the doctors fixed my wife's lungs and then some more chemotherapy has rendered her cancer stable.

I know how helpful our son's schools have been through the years and that was very helpful. We also have quite a good guide on here on how to talk to children that was helpful.

    <<hugs>>
