How do you say anything to your partner my wife given 6 months to live. She struggles to do much even if I go shopping we used too etc so scared she is as am I . I have been caring for her now for over a year she is only 54 and was always active this is so unfair. I am older dreading being on my own without her after so many years and a 19 year old son
Hi Helplessness and welcome to our community.
Caring for your wife for over a year already I might say you are far from helpless but like many on here sometimes we struggle and that feeling of "why us" is very common.
My wife never wanted a prognosis and I really struggled with that to the extent I ended up doing a living with less stress course. Something that helped me was focusing on what we could do today rather than the future I could not control.

How is your son coping? Our son just turned 20 this month.
