Hey 1968...
Welcome to the group no-one wants to be a part of. Well done for reaching out.
The first few days after a cancer diagnosis feel like an absolute whirlwind. Perhaps worth preparing with your wife, writing down any questions and taking a notebook into the discussion so that you can make sure you understand as much as possible. Don't be afraid to ask questions, or get the doctor to repeat themselves - they are used to it - they know what you are having to deal with.
There are lots of resources out there to support you - including on this site and almost certainly in your local area. Once you know what you are dealing with and what you need - reach out.
In the meantime - this is a good place to shout out if you just want to connect with people who have some idea what you are going through.
You will be told many many times in the coming months... look after yourself as well. You can't look after your wife if you aren't getting headspace to look after yourself.
Big hugs...
Pete
