My husband lost his bladder to cancer a few years ago and his life (and consequently mine) with an ileostomy is miserable. He now has bowel cancer and is due to go for surgery soon, but has said he would prefer not to come through it, if it means a second stoma. Nothing I say can help him and he refuses professional support.
Hi
Sorry to read about your husband, often of course given this news it is easy to feel we need to fix them but of course there is nothing we can do. While he might not want professional support I wonder if it might be something you considered to help you - being a carer sometimes can be really difficult.
