Hello, Looking for a bit of advice with going out out for dinner and pubs during immunotherapy treatment (more so because of Covid)... thank you x
Hi
I am sorry you have this worry, perhaps even more so given the latest news on working from home if possible.
It is notable that everyone is different and so it is not really possible to say for an individual what to do for the best. Add to this that the final decision probably rests with the patient can make things really hard if they do not do what we might think is right (whatever right means anyway!).
<<hugs>>

Best advice would come from your doctor. Then next is up to the patient I think. But here goes- My husband was careful but not isolationist. We didn’t have people over, but we did go out to a restaurant or pub (socially distanced). He’s had 3 jabs now so feels a bit more confident. However he doesn’t go into shops at all- mostly because he’s not that bothered. So my advice would be to be careful and avoid mixing with others too much, but use your socialising on things you like doing the most. And that was the advice our doctor gave too. He was most worried about my son in school bringing all the germs into the house.
Thank you Juppy, I appreciate your response.
