My husband is now on chemo tablets .consultant said it will give him more time.I work in a care home and they are giving me just weekend shifts as his son can can over to make sure he is ok.He is my stepson.I work 12 hour shifts.IHusband likes a drink .Came home from a 12 hour shift last night and husband had drunk a full bottle of vodka..It is not the first time.When he is not drinking he is great but when he has a drink in him he is cruel to me.Not abusive. When he has been drinking he falls I.He said he does not want to go into a hospice .I always said I would nurse him at home.Love him to bits .I have no family of my own to talk to.Need advice
Oh Jake23 I'm sorry to hear this. Not sure I've any words of wisdom to share. Are there any local support options that would let you continue to care for him at home? Maybe talking to your GP would be a start.

perhaps you need to be honest with them and ask them nicely not to bring any alcohol into the house. If they really care then they'll understand.
