Hi everyone.
my beautiful wife has been diagnosed with a G3/4 brain tumour. My heart is shattered into a million pieces. Our daughters are 4.5months and 22months.
I just wanted to know what free counselling you have been able to access. I am in desperate need but the next availability for even an initial interview is 3rd March. I am having horrible night terrors which seem to make everything that little bit worse.

Hi,
Sorry to hear about this and can relate to my early days with Janices cancer although our son was a little bit older at the time.
I did a living with less stress course with Maggies, and (before covid) we always dropped in just for a chat and a coffee when my wife had an appointment - and sometimes even if we were just in the area.
I have accessed support from the helpline here too of course, they are so patient as I sobbed/shared my story and helped to guide me to decide what my next steps were.
The other thing that was really useful to me I accessed through the employee assistance programme in my workplace.
Hope some of those ideas are helpful, do keep posting on here whenever you need.
<<hugs>>
Steve
