My wife is 81 and has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I am her sole carer and I am 80. I cannot get organised. I try to plan the day but something happens and everything becomes confused. My wife is very weak and is asleep most of the day and we are isolated so I am lonely. We are in contact with specialist nurses.
Afternoon Groundcrew, sorry to hear you are having a tough time of it at the momemnt. Have you no family who or friends who can help you out ?. Maybe you could contact your GP and see if you can get any extra help though social services there is a lot of help out there you just have to know how to go about it.The GP would be my first contact they will have all the phone numbers for all sorts of organisations not just medical help. There are groups you can talk to about how to cope with this difficult situation there is no need to do it on your own.Now you can also talk to people on the Macmillan site by telephone who will be to help. Please ring around and find the help that is there if you require help. Keep safe
