My husband has been in hospital since Xmas eve. He has advanced cancer and was unable to eat or drink. He has been fitted with a ng tube two days ago and I’ve been told i will be expected to be in charge of his feeding when he comes home. This responsibility terrifies me. Is this what normally happens? I thought nurses would do it. Any advice
.Its just a question of getting used to it the nurses will show you if you can be in the hospital and get them to show you how it works then the next time you do it under their supervision .Its all quite easy once you have done it a couple of times.Ask as many questions as you need and who to contact if you need any assistance when at home .Good luck and take care .
