Hi everyone,
Why do people make it so difficult to get a prescription for someone whos living with Terminal Cancer.
A bit of a back story, I put a request in to the surgery of the guy I care for, for one of his meds that he has when required as we are going to run out over the weekend.
I was told by the surgery that it would be put through to the chemist on Friday which it was. I visited the pharmacy and they were unable to get the prescription from the spine as it just times out. Followed this up with a phonecall to the surgery, who then printed out the prescription for me. I then revisited the chemist and they still had the same issue.
I have phoned 111, the Palliative Care team and the doctors (surgery is closed until Tuesday) and still haven't managed to sort this.
Ive rung the out of hours team this morning and im now waiting for the Palliative care team to call me back.
All I need is a small prescription to cover until Wednesday at least, so I can phone the surgery on Tuesday to get the main prescription cancelled and reissued.
Being a carer, is definitely hard especially when no one wants to help
