Has anyone had a good experience of immunotherapy for bowel cancer with spread to lungs, stomach and pancreas?

  • Hi

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and, although I don't have the experience you're looking for, I thought I'd pop on and suggest that you also post this in the bowel cancer group. I can see that you've posted there before and, if you repost this question there, you'll connect directly with people who've had immunotherapy for the same type of cancer as you.

When you have a minute, it would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • Hello

I have just started lonsurf and bevacizumab and really struggled with fatigue. I spent most of my time in bed. They will adjust the dosage and will try again. Will let you know how I get on .

  • Hi, please do let me know how it goes. I have found vomiting and dry mouth( to the point I can't eat ) is the worst of it so far, not sure if my tiredness is the drugs or the cancer, hate missing this lovely weather. I hope immunotherapy is curative for you

  • I did have dry mouth no vomitting but only had one cycle. I stopped taking the longsurf tablets and my fatigued improved. Hope you feel better soon and will kepp you posted. Due to start again in 2 weeks

  • Hi, how did it go this time ?
