Hello everyone,
the title says it all, this is a thread for everyone at any and all hours of day and night, to post, help, laugh, cry and anything in between. There will be no nasty posts, everyone who joins in will be gentle, considerate and kind to everyone else. Hugs to all......xxx
Hi all,
Sewiingbee.......Yes the hair loss is after 4 rounds of cisplatin and alimta/pemetrexed, am now on maintenance every 3 weeks. My hair is so thin I have to use kiddies hair ties and my fringe is so seethrough, it just gets me down when I had such lovely thick shiny hair. I guess I should be grateful it's just thinning. I lost it all to breast cancer treatment 10 years ago.
Going to snuggle up today by the log burner with some nice buiscuits and coffee, tonight I am going to open some nice wine and get the other half to massage my aching legs and run me a bubble bath. Won't be washing hair though sod that. LOL
Hugs to all xx
Coffee machine is up and running, Rose, tuck yourself up as it is colder today! Oh heck! Just watching the weather forecast on TV, yup, it looks awful! March winds and April rain altogether!
I suspect some warming soup might get made today......

Morning everyone. The coffee is much appreciated this morning as we had snow overnight. It's melting already though so it must be warming up outside.
I've put some American pancakes I made I the fridge with blueberries, and maple syrup. Pop them in the toaster on low and they warm up very well.
I hope everyone is keeping well. I'm off to Spain tomorrow for a weeks walking holiday with 20 other widows. We will have some sunshine and a good laugh.
Thank you for the pancake, Lynda, very welcome!
Have a super time walking in Spain, I hope you get your luggage carried for you!

Thinking of all affected by the London attack yesterday, those injured and their families, friends and colleagues also of those killed.
Proud of our emergency services as they responded so fast.
We will not be bowed!
Otherwise, it's quiet in the 24/7 room, and the faeries are busy making sure the hot tub and fluffy towels are ready for anyone wanting a dip.....log burner is giving out a lovely glow, sofas and cushions all ready for anyone who would like a comfy base for a bit.
Hugs to you all xxx

On any normal day Parliament mocks the real virtues of a true democracy. Freedom is just a token, something we take for granted and Parliament often ignores in pursuit of power.
Yesterday was a reminder of what it means to be free and why we must never give up on those values that make a democratic society. It is the best humankind can manage and those murdered and injured were and are our brothers, sisters and children. No extremists will deny the will of our people, they will not be remembered, we will never give up freedom to their twisted ideologies and we will always remember the innocent victims.
Quiet comfy places where fairies take care of your needs, sounds like Yorkshire to me.
Celebrating the beautiful day by opening the bifold doors, I know we let out the warm but it's just so lovely to hear the birdsong.
Flowers are looking good, the garden faeries have been busy!

One tired soul will be found, firstly having a turn in the hot tub and then collapsing on a comfy sofa.....
yesterday we broke the settings of an Enigma coding machine from Paderborn, Germany, and late next week we will be doing this for real, live at Bletchley Park, their messages will be sent in morse code, received by our radio hut, the listening station (WI or wireless intercept, in WW2, nicknamed Y stations) then they will walk it through to the waiting Bombe team, wiring diagrams or menus will be written, run on the Bombe, then checked on the checking machine, and then the settings of the day found; after that, their second message will be decoded.
Please keep fingers crossed, our Bombe machine is an elderly lady and has some maintenance issues, we are awaiting new parts for those worn out in 10 years of use....(WW2 was only 6!) and the atmospherics need to be right for morse intercept, there are many more communications over the ether than there were back then!
There will be a tired moomy staying in here by the end of next week!!

Moomy,
I've plumped up the cushions on the biggest, comfiest chair beside the wood burner, the 1 that looks out over the garden, just for you, sounds like you might need it.
I hope all are well and making use of the hot tub, with the slightly milder weather of late.
Making meatballs for dinner, I'll put the extra ones in the fridge for later. Just a smidge of garlic in them. Help yourselves, garlic bread too.
x
It's been lovely and mild, hasn't it?
We went out last night to an alternative kind of evening! Neon Moon Electric Rodeo Circus. Google it.
Anyway you are supposed to dress up in outrageous stuff. I didn't go mad but I had a sort of corset and flouncy skirt thing and walking around Cambridge at 10 at night was perfectly warm!
