Hello everyone.
Pouring all day here so no gardening for me. Been to friends in Sleaford Lincolnshire for the weekend as it was my birthday and they didnt want me to be on my own, went to Woodhall Spa which was really nice and saw my godson and his new 7month old son. Went by train and spent the tube journey with drunken Millwall supporters, who kept offering me cans of Stella and asking me to go with them to tge pub..... Survived that then spent the rest of the journey home with drunken rugby supporters. Back to work tomorrow after 3 months so trying to get everything sorted.
hope everyone ok.
Jasmin xx,
Ooh I like scones and cream
I spent the day at Dover Castle and the Tunnels today, wonderful experience. Sadly it rained and was cold all day but it did not dampen my enthusiasm Helen!!
Sorry about your hand Lynda silly girl, always working too hard. Please make sure the lovely weather continues across next weekend I am really looking forward to it. The weather in the east and the midlands is flipping rubbish.
Jasmin I hope all goes well on your return to work tomorrow. Be kind and gentle with yourself. Lots of love xxx

Hi All,
Just popping in to say Hi, and wishing you all the best, it was lovely to see you Moomy, and put face to name, we were with a family party and wasn't sure we would have time to say Hi, but so pleased we did. I have been taking a break from the site, hubby has been doing well, and we have been very busy, with other family issues, but I haven't forgotten the kindness and understanding shown to us, throughout hubby's cancer journey. Well wishing you all as well as you can be, and hoping we get some of the sunshine soon in the Midlands, we had rain all day and all the way home from BP today.
Love and hugs

Lovely to hear from you Neil and Angela, so pleased things are going well for Neil, hope it continues.
Love and hugs xxxxx
Great to have met you both, Neil and Angela, so sorry the weather was so rough, my rain gauge at home informs me we had 15 mm of rain in the last 24 hours!
Hope it didn't dampen your enthusiasm too much from a great museum, and a fabulous legacy that we all benefit from, as BP shortened the war by around 2years.
Hugs to all xxx
Moomy
Thank you Moomy,
We had a lovely day at BP in spite of the rain, at least a lot of it is indoors, it is lovely to enjoy doing things together again, and when I think of how poorly he was and how far he has come, it makes me very grateful, and having a place to come on these forums and share my worries and concerns with people who really understood, not only from the patients side but from a carers point of view too, got us through what was a very difficult time, so thank you to all those that were there for us.
I am saddened to hear of others that were going through a similar cancer at the same as Neil, and have had news that the cancer is back and they now have a very different prognosis, and it makes me more determined to enjoy this next few years as much as we can.I hope you have a lovely holiday with your daughter Moomy, and thank you for being here for all of us. It really is much appreciated.
Love and hugs

Thank you Christine,
Neil has now retired, he went back to work full time, and coped but quickly we realised that life had changed and that Neil deserved a better quality of life, so we are forgoing major holidays and material things, but hope when the summer comes (hopefully soon) that little breaks, taking the kayak out and taking life much easier we will enjoy a much better quality of life, I think sometimes you can go searching for better things when actually the thing that makes you happy is right under your nose, not having to get up at ridiculous time at night to go to work, and having a coffee sat in your own garden and finding time to enjoy life with family and friends, are much more important.
I am glad to see you are feeling much happier, and finding new experiences and a new "normal" Take care Christine and hope you continue to find good things and good people to share them with. I will be thinking of you.
Love from
Neil and Angela
