Had to do more health & safety checks today xx
Carol, I'm not sure it's H&S, I suspect the start of a second childhood......but it but it does look fun! (Can I join in please?)
Hi everyone,
Been a bit hectic recently, it's fast getting towards another concert date, and it's a Shakespeare one and we only had 5 weeks this term......
It's also been too good a gardening weather-time, weeds grow FAR too fast! I have to keep an eye on hubs as he tries to do far too much!
Have left a fruit loaf and some fresh butter handy, please help yourself, it's like what the Welsh call bara brith.
Hugs to you all xxx

Hi everyone
it is lovely and sunny here in Solihull at the moment, I am off South to Folkestone this evening and the weather does not look too promising. Never mind at least I will be able to indulge my love of the sea.
I hope you all have a happy Bank Holiday. Carol you continue to have fun and laughter. That is what makes the world go round. I am very much happier these days, laughing lots, I am very lucky!
So I wish you all happiness, love and peace.
Hugs xxxx
Oh my! Some of you seem to be rain free? It's MISERABLE here, has been raining since around 10 am. Mind you, at least the garden is well watered.
Carol, I think if you don't grow up by the time you are 40 then you don't need to! Think that's how the saying goes anyway! Not sure how that leaves you....!?!?!?!
Christine, if you've got decent weather where you are, too, then I'm jealous.
I met PolarBear at BP today, she and her hubby both look fit and were enjoying it in spite of the weather! It's great to meet folk from here, just sorry that I didn't know she was coming, otherwise I'd have been able to spend a lot more time with her.
I've popped some warm scones straight from the oven, clotted cream and home made jam in the kitchen, please help yourselves before they get too cold!
Hugs to you all xxx

It's yet another hot and sunny day here in Cumbria. 23degrees according to the car thermometer.
Being stupid I went out this afternoon to do the second coat of deck stain on my patio. Sat on the wood painting with one hand, leaning on the other hand on the deck. I thought it felt a bit hot, moved my hand, still felt a bit hot but kept going. Then I looked at my hand.....the deck was so hot I had blisters on my palm. Feel silly now. Well in my defence we are not used to this weather up here!
Carol, no need to grow up!
Ooh scones, thank you. I've brewed some fresh coffee to go with them.
Oh Lynda, that sounds so sore! Lots of cold water running over your hand, 10 minutes minimum is the standard first aid advice, hope it settles.
Hugs xxx
Ps, I've got a cardi on and the heating came on too!

Hi everyone, well it is neither hot or sunny here today. It was just very dull all morning but for the last hour and a half it has been chucking it down. It saves watering the garden I suppose but it doesn't look or sound good.
Hope you are all well as can be.

By the time I realised it had already blistered so cold water didn't have much effect. I have shorts and a vest top on. Strange weather we are having.
The forecast is good for up here all week. Which is just as well as I have 28 way up members up here for a weekend in Windermere Saturday and Sunday.
