Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Thanks so much, been there today and my son knows, hubby's brother there,he's a nurse so l feel better informed with his take on this. Yes l have been panicking and feeling l should have made more appointments or asked for better tests that kind of thing.

Thanks for the support, the multi team are coming to the ward Tuesday so great hopes loads will be explained.

He's not had food since Thursday and on glucose drip and insulin.

Hope they sort it soon x

  • Telliies where a serious and expensive bit of kit.

  • Joy A lot like my dad Dingg. He loved to renovate old furniture and was forever polishing it. I did like the smell though. We were lucky that my older brother was doing an apprenticeship as an electrician, so knew how to fix the telly with foil if it went on the blink.

It's so good to hear that you've been having a laugh with hubby, and everything will be crossed for you both this Tuesday. Lots of hugs coming your way xxx

  • PS Just seen your other post Dingg. Hubby will get sorted lovely, and you're doing great! xxx

  • Noggin the Nog was brilliant our kid! I used to love Fireball XL5 and watched all two series on Talking Pictures last year. I sang along with the theme tune every episode. Golden times xxx

  • I loved the Summer holidays when they had loads of children's programmes on. Robinson Crusoe, Banana Splits, Flashing Blades , Belle and Sebastian and White Horses

  • They were all fantastic shows, and when my daughters were little, I'd take massive delight in watching the programmes they loved, too.

Summer holidays just couldn't be beat - no school and that applied both when I was young and my kids too, as I loved them being at home. We'd make up games and play for hours xxx

  • Hello  Dingg

Yes I have been following your husband's journey. I pop onto this thread when I have time - the Prostate group keep me busy - but they are a great bunch on here and I try and keep up with whatever’s going on.

I wish you both well moving forward-do keep us posted as to how you get on.

The support from this group is amazing so stick with us - we are all with you.

    Kind regards - Brian.
