“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Thanks, yes its been surreal the speed of it and my husband isn't a big eater the best of times he has a sensitive stomach and will have a cuppa and a cheese sandwich, soup and bread rolls, almost like an old Scottish shepherd only without the whisky lol.
How are things with you today. I'm ok, we had hospital again with endoscopy type thing up his nose al upper throat normal and nothing abnormal on head neck or lymph but it was a manual test xray of chest up normal but waiting CT scan bloods and the Big reveal the biopsy

That's sounding good so far, after the hospital visit today. My OH had all that done too, but unfortunately his results went the other way. We did expect it though, so were prepared for the eventualities.
Every single one of us here knows how awful the waiting for results can be, so you're not alone in that my lovely and we're here if you need a bit of a boost.

Sorry to know his results went the other way, what surgery did he have in the end .
I think l feel weird about all this with hubby out of the blue because we nursed both our fathers during the depths of the pandemic in palliative care my dad with very bad sudden cancer.
It just brings back some of that. I am a carer originally from care home work but the challenges of caring for our fathers was big as I'm not a nurse.
Both our fathers were ex RAF so they were so brave and always seeing the funny side.
My dad was a real character and had a crush on the nurse who called
