Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

I put lipstick and a bit of mascara on today to try and ensure they didn’t just see me as an old woman!!
The Self Deprecation Society is alive and kicking. It's the constant lack of quality beauty sleep that's to blame - in my crazed world anyway...
I had to take medical retirement a long time ago….. the only good thing about that was I no longer had to get up at 6.30 a.m…… I’ve always been an owl
Nice one Rose and talking of sleep, I'm going to put a podcast on to see if it'll get me off, so night hon, and sweet dreams xxx
Sleep....... my body clock is all wrong.. I'm exhausted during the day then brain is on overdrive at silly o clock.
Im stuck in this loop.
Hi I'm new I'm 8 weeks since finding a lump then 2 in my breast and under arm.
Had my biopsy had my ct scan . I know im triple negative and stage 3.
I do have a question. Why do my lumps feel so much pain since biopsy?. Why has my under arm woken me up aching so much...
If i hear cancer lumps doesn't hurt one more time I'll scream .
Sorry negative post. Positive Annie will return..
Good morning Annie, and a warm welcome to our group, although I'm sorry to hear the reasons that have brought you here.
Apparently, cancerous lumps rarely cause pain - it could be that they're pressing on nerves and causing localised discomfort, so a word with your team could help you there, and also the best pain relief to alleviate it.
The sleep problems are another unwanted side effect. When we feel anxious or under threat, our brains are wired to warn us of this, but it's often worst at night because we're not doing activities to take our minds away from these fears - then the overthinking kicks in.
I don't think your post was negative love - your positive approach shone through loud and clear!
Sending you big hugs xxx
