Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Hello Rose,

I passed my full motorcycle test in the early 1970s so that my girlfriend could ride pillion. We married and I was informed that a vehicle with a roof and heater was necessary. In the mid 1970s I therefore bought a car and passed my car test. My dad did not offer to let me drive his car. He was still recovering from my mum having a go and managing to break the column change gear stick clean off! He had to get it welded back on. Mum learnt to drive in the mid 1980s when dad died. I did allow my son to drive my car after he passed his test. He crashed it! It was not his fault but the chap who crashed into him was a young, recently passed driver. Neither were injured, fortunately. My daughter had lessons and my now late wife also had lessons. They only rarely drove my cars before getting their own - which I was sometimes allowed to drive, notably when the tank was nearly empty.  Ray x

  • I love a trip to the garden centre….. my outing was gonna be a trip to the compost bin at the end of the garden with kitchen waste…. For now the rain has put me off (I am but a little sugar cube)!

  • A trip to the bin is perfectly acceptable Rose! Joy You can do it! Muscle

  • Do you have a hairdresser friend that comes to your home to do cuts?

She's my DiL's besty, I normally go to hers as she has a 2 year old so it's easier for her.

  • That's really good Helen, and I expect she gives you exactly the style you're after Scissors️ xxx

I hope that you are feeling better today, and that the clock change didn’t affect you too much?
