Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Fingers crossed for you at tomorrow's scan Chloe.  Really hoping you get a positive result from it.  Hugs to you xxx

Sorry Chloe, this was meant for you love, not me. I pressed the wrong button (blushes)

  • She (Maggie) is jointly owned between myself and my girlfriend who lives half an hour from me in a town called Moira.

My dad had a fear of bees and wasps too... a stand out memory as a kid on a golf course with him and my brother... dad was just about to take a swing and a bee flew round him, he dropped the club and ran, nearly fell in the riverJoyJoy

  • Oh lordy.  I can totally empathise with the fear your dad had.  I'm okay with bees as I think they're wonderful little guys but wasps, no way.  Even now, if one gets near, I flail my arms and duck or scarper - to anyone watching from a distance I must look like a total lunatic!

PS Maggie looks gorgeous - black Lab maybe?  xx

  • Cocker spaniel... I'll post a better photo

  • Also a man Utd fan! Holding on to faith they will one day be back on top! I am a huge football fan though huge sports fan really my other half used to play rugby  long before we met, one of our first conversations was because of shared love of Man Utd… honestly sports and films is all we really watch, my work place is full of women 47 of us to be precise and while everyone else is talking about love island 5 of us chat football, it’s been great having women’s euros and club World Cup to watch during this premier league break… my stepson is big into his formula 1, other half into rugby so we’ve had the lions on too.

ive got an appt to see consultant on Monday so  hoping to have a rough idea of when treatment will start then I’ll get the pocket hugs ordered, there’s loads on Etsy all different kinds.. they’re super cute!

I too have a huge love of animals, my two little old ladies Jack Russell’s Bella and Lucy are my world, we adopted them on the day of the first lockdown.

I always say if I win the lottery I’d buy a farm, just to adopt animals that need rescuing and such, just a place to live and be loved.

  • Awww, Maggie.  What a sweet and gorgeous girl she is.  And great poses too!  I bet she's a fusspot as spaniels often are and enjoy attention.  Fully deserved Maggie xx

  • Hi again Chloe, I was trying to have three conversations at the same time and messed up my message to you about tomorrow's scan. I hope you figured it out where I went wrong.

Anyway, good to have two more football fans on here and don't worry Chloe - I've never watched Love Island in my life, we don't watch any of that stuff at all.

I totally echo your last paragraph.  I lived and breathed farms for my first thirty odd years and consider myself very lucky to have had so much access to all those glorious animals.  I've often said I'd love a smallholding to house a menagerie of rescues to care for, I really would.  And Jack Russells are fabulous little doggies.  I had a conversation on here with Eddie a couple of weeks ago and he sent a picture of his little Jack called Poppy.

Right, I'd better shut up in case you're heading off to bed, but best wishes for tomorrow and fingers crossed you'll get your treatment plan on Monday.  That'll be a relief too.  Night love xxx

  • Night Gill and thank you so much Sparkling heart

  • I don't have much hope for amorim turning things around any time soon... only one player signed and still hasn't got shot of Onana yet!
