Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Hi again Rose. That's good you've got a roofer, and I hope he fixes the leak without charging the earth!
Oh, tell me about family fall-outs - my older sister hasn't spoken to my even older brother for years, money squabbles in their case. It's good your sister's on board to help you my lovely.
You've done well to give up smoking, so don't beat yourself up about that, but I'm sure all the added stress won't have done any good either. You'll probably be in a better place once you've had the scan and results, and fingers crossed the eventual decision on your mum's health care is in her favour.
Take good care and do drop in any time lovely xxx
Good morning Tanyalee, and a very warm welcome, although I'm sorry to hear about the reason you've joined our group.
Being on the other side of the world from your brother, at this awful time, will be really tough for you but please bear in mind his wishes. If I understood correctly, you want to come over to see him, but he'd rather you didn't? He's right inasmuch there's very little you can do other than give him support. Do you Skype at all? I gather that's almost as good as being in the same room, so that's a great way to be with him virtually without actually having to travel.
Have a think about things and maybe then get in touch with him. I realise the time difference, and hopefully your brother will be fast asleep at our end right now. You take good care of yourself sweetheart, and try not to worry as I'm certain his doctors are doing everything they can to help him. Sending you hugs xxx
Hi Lopez
I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Using this forum will get easier although I've found it could be better.
There is often someone around here if you want to offload, you can chat about anything as we discuss all sorts.
I hope you got some more sleep.
